Health coverage may not affected of having a pre-existing condition

2018 Marketplace plans deliver many benefits to the insured and having a pre-existing condition will consider the person eligible for all benefits under a health insurance plan.

Health Insurance plans are the backup or may call protector of people in some serious problems or illness which are life snatching and also have expensive treatments. Besides this, a right health insurance plan is like an assurance for the insured while he/she faces some kind of difficulties; there are lots of people in every country who dies or suffers with lifelong pains due of lack of support. It is a guide, a friend, a helper, an assurer, a good protector which means an overall coverage for insured person but still it is not enough to get fully covered and having all kind of money while in danger. Health is wealth and no doubt freaking for being healthy and fit is become a mania now-a-days; after advanced technologies and lifestyle people get affected easily. People are now-a-days fell ill often and pay a huge amount of money to get rid of that illness, for treatment n good hospitals etc. but spending so much for treatment is not a matter of joke as everyone has not that capability. Health Insurance Policies in today’s scenario works as a support system, but still people should take care of themselves to prevent serious illness. Health Insurance Plans are essential for every person as it gives security and safety to the insured person with various benefits. There are various kinds of health insurance policies such as Individual Health Insurance Plans, Family Floater Plan, Children Insurance Plan, Car Insurance Plan, Mediclaim etc. But it is advisable to buy a policy for the parents or old persons of the house as it gill protect them in the time of critical illness or provide the expenditure while hospitalization.

The new Marketplace plans of 2018 must have coverage treatment against every pre-existing medical condition such as asthma, diabetes and cancer etc. Actually a pre-existing condition is a kind of health problem that an insured person may have before the date of beginning of new health coverage; these conditions include epilepsy, cancer, diabetes, sleep apnea etc. All the marketplace plans have to cover treatment for pre-existing medical conditions that gives several benefits like:
  • ·         No insurance plan can reject or refuse the person who has pre-existing medical condition to pay for important health benefits for any condition you had before the coverage began.
  • ·         After the enrollment, the plan can’t deny the person’s coverage or raise the rates as per the health conditions.
  • ·         Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program also can’t refuse to cover the insured or can’t charge more for pre-existing condition.
So basically, having a pre-existing condition is not a boundary for any person to get any health insurance plan or the person is not bound to charge extra penny for this. Besides the above diseases, pregnancy is also considered as a pre-existing condition under some reasons:
  • ·         Before applying the health insurance plan if a lady is pregnant then the health insurance plan is bound to cover all kind of facilities, to pay all kind of medical bills and may not able to charge any extra cost for this pregnancy period.
  • ·         After enrolling in any health insurance policy under the 2018 Marketplace plan, the pregnancy period and the childbirth both are covered from the beginning of the plan.
But Grandfathered plans don’t have to cover pre-existing conditions but if anyone wants pre-existing conditions covered during a grandfathered plan then he has two options. They are:
  • ·         The person either has to switch to a Marketplace plan that will cover during Open Enrollment.
  • ·         Or can buy a Marketplace Plan outside Open Enrollment, so when the grandfathered plan ends he will be qualified for a Special Enrollment Period.
  • Health coverage may not affected of having a pre-existing condition
